The health and well-being of our patients and staff have always counted among the most essential aspects of our life. We are monitoring the COVID-19 situation and taking every precaution as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control, the American Dental Association, and all authorities.
If you have a need that requires a visit to our office, we want to assure you of the actions Imperial Dental Center is taking to keep each other healthy and safe.
We have recently installed the IQAir Dental air purifier in the office. This hyperHEPA filtration technology is proven to remove ultrafine particles, viruses, and bacteria from the air – all the way down to 0.003 microns in diameter – the smallest particles that exist.
In addition to the April installation of the IQAir HealthProPlus Dental air purifier, we have recently added the Ultra-Low Volume (ULV) Fogger to our cleaning protocol.
What is a ULV Fogger?
The ULV is a fine cold mist fogging machine that produces micro-droplets of disinfectant that float in the air for around 10 minutes after application. This fine mist ensures the disinfectant reaches the tiniest corners, cracks, and crevices that conventional cleaning may miss.
Safe on Eyes and Skin
Hypochlorous Acid, or HOCI, is a powerful antioxidant and disinfectant used in the fogger. HOCI is a naturally occurring chemical produced by our white blood cells, to fight bacteria and inflammation after an infection or trauma occurs. HOCI is one of the only agents that are both nontoxic to the delicate cells that can heal our wounds, while simultaneously killing airborne bacteria, viruses, and fungi that may threaten our health. HOCI is a non-irritant to most individuals including those with allergies. It can be used continuously throughout the workday, including in the presence of people and dental surfaces.
